B&K provides legal advice, counsel, negotiation and related services in connection with of all phases and types of transactions in the music, film and television industries, including recorded music, songwriting, artist management, music publishing, producer services, merchandising and publicity rights, foreign sub-publishing, master recording licensing (both domestically and abroad), trademark, copyright, television and internet matters. The firm also counsels clients in the acquisition and/or sale of entertainment industry intellectual properties, including music publishing catalogs, and assists entertainment executives in employment matters, both in the commencement of new agreements and the termination of existing employment contracts and relationships.

Intellectual Property

B&K provides advice and counsel regarding intellectual property matters, ranging from the registration of copyrights and trademarks to the protection of trade secrets and licensing of the full compliment of intellectual property rights. B&K does not engage in the prosecution of patent applications.

General Business

B&K performs a significant amount of general business services for the entertainment industry and the business community at large. Our services include entity formation and maintenance services for new and existing clients (corporations, LLCs, joint ventures and partnerships).

Mergers & Acquisitions

B&K counsels clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions in a variety of industries in addition to the entertainment industry. GBK has advised buyers and sellers in connection with the purchase and sale of music catalogs as well as more traditional stock and/or asset transactions.

Business Planning

In addition, the firm counsels clients in the creation and development of entertainment-based business models and business plans.
